Ubuntu, a concept rooted in African philosophy, reminds us, "I am because you are."
This powerful phrase encapsulates the interconnectedness of humanity and highlights the significance of collective responsibility. By recognising that our individual well-being is deeply intertwined with the well-being of others, we can cultivate a strong and supportive community.
As some of you may have noticed, my approach to healing is not solely based on physical well-being but also encompasses a profound spiritual and socially conscious perspective. Through my personal journey, I have come to understand the immense value of using our gifts for the betterment of others. It is not enough to simply possess these talents; we must actively channel them towards making a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
It has taken me a considerable amount of time to realise that while it is crucial not to exploit our gifts, it is acceptable to earn a living from them, as long as our intentions remain focused on the greater good of all. By utilizing our unique abilities to make a living, we can not only sustain ourselves financially but also continue to contribute to the causes we care about. This balance allows us to align our passions with our Ikigai, the Japanese concept of finding purpose and fulfilment in life.
In today's society, it is essential to find a harmonious equilibrium between our passion for serving the community and the need to sustain ourselves financially. By actively supporting local initiatives, we can not only create a profound and enduring impact on the lives of those in our community but also inspire others to join us in our mission of making a difference. Together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change, transforming our community into a thriving hub of compassion, support, and empowerment.
